Why no elastic strip?

I do agree that these pants are very comfortable and show absolutely no VPL. I also think they look great - my husband loves them! However I do have a complaint. I have had previous pairs in this style and all have had an elastic type strip at the top of the lace at the front as well as the same strip at the back.. However my latest pairs do not have this front strip and rely on the slightly stretchy lace to hold them up. Result on me? They slither down when being worn and roll over at the top. Not a good look! I did wonder if my pairs were faulty but on looking closely at the pictures on the web it seems as if this is a change in style so I will only buy more if I see that stretchy strip return.

Very comfortable to wear and easy to wash and dry. For me they are a good fit and do not ride up and the waist band stays in place. They can be worn under trousers too. Absolute winner. I am not an animal print person but as I don't own any clothes, shoes or bags in the print I thought I would try a pair of knickers instead. I will buy more in this style and cut. Thank you.
