great but...
Date:27 September 2010
why is the secret pocket so small? It's the size of a credit card, and I want to be able to put my passport in it, like I could with the one's from 2 years ago!

Women trek too!
Date:18 September 2010
Like Maggie J, I also wear these trousers, and I agree completely with Maggie that they are a bit baggy and, although I like my zipp-off to be quite long, I am always concious that they look a bit masculine! Please make these terrific trousers in sizes/style for women! Janet D

Please make in ladies fit
Date:14 September 2010
My husband bought these for our walking holiday and when he brought them home I thought these are great must get myself a pair. Alas couldn't find in womenswear so bought the smallest men's size(waist and lenght) in the store - they fit fine but are a bit baggy at the back. Would you consider making in ladies sizing as they excellent and superb value compared to some of the more expensive walking pants on offer elsewhere.

Just the job
Date:12 September 2010
I live and work in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia .I have to look smart but the weather is hot and humid !! after several years of wearing different materials and styles all of which were either uncomfortable or not practical I found these trousers I have all 5 colours and wear them everyday work, holiday anywhere. Just wash and wear the pockets are great no need for a bag or jacket. The only problem is I cannot buy them in Malaysia. Why not ??? you would sell out overnight.

Camping in Wales and over Kinder
Date:17 August 2010
Came upon these trekking pants by accident in the Stockport store. They have been excellent both on a week's camping in Wales and a trek over Kinder. Did the latter as preparation for taking on the Camino de Santiago this autumn. (Would M & S like a diary of how the pants enjoy this 500 mile trek across northern Spain?). Can you make a version without the zip off legs?

Trekking trousers
Date:09 August 2010
I bought a pair of these for a walking holiday in Austria. I wore them for 8 of the 14 days as the weather was not up to shorts. They were extremely compfortable, rain did not soak in and despite being the light colour they did not get very dirty. The zip off worked well. Plenty of useful pockets. Overall a very good buy.

good buy
Date:10 July 2010
I had been thinking of buying these for my husband but never got around to it,so when they came as a"bargain of the day"I ordered a pair, now I wish I had ordered another in a different colour.Just what he needs for scout camp and/or holidays, plenty of secure pockets,a zip off section for instant shorts or if the bottoms get wet hiking and comfortable to wear with the expanding waistband.Quite often on holidays we just take carry-on luggage so have to pack carefully, these will be ideal as they can be worn on the flight as long trousers but become a pair of shorts on arrival in warmer climes. An excellent idea and a good buy for me.

Back for more
Date:09 June 2010
I'm back to buy another pair of these for my son. As a wheelchair user it is really useful to just zip off the legs to make shorts and the shorts are long enough not to ride up sitting in the chair. He wears them for school as ordinary school shorts are not long enough. Very happy and so are all his carers. Thank you.

Great but Security pocket to small
Date:10 January 2010
Great trousers However security pocket will not hold a wallet, to small. I like money and cards to be zipped up and safe when walking. Otherwise neat and comfortable.

Versatile and value for money trekking trousers
Date:29 December 2009
Extremely comfortable, practical and smart too. Can be worn all year round. More versatile than a pair of jeans, wind proof and water resistant when they get wet they dry out in no time at all. Plenty of pockets, zipped and velcroed plus an inner zipped security pocket which is really useful when you want to keep personal items near at hand. There are some useful additions I have not come across before such as an elasticated loop to hang the trouser from a hook to dry or air, the elaticated sides enhances comfort and a security catch in one of the side pockrts secures keys. Once you have one pair you will want another spare because they are such good value.
