I vary from size10 to 12 in trousers, depending on whether they are stretchy waists or fitted waists. I bought these in a size10-short as the size12 medium were too big and too long; 12 short were ok for length so I decided to get 10 short. However the 10 short are a bit too short (I'm 5ft1). They fit so well otherwise and are quite a flattering fit so I just make sure that I wear them with flat pumps.
They wash very easily, but the fabric does seem a bit thicker than I remember.

Basic black trousers, can never have too many. Especially these from M and S.
Fits well, washes well and good value for money.

These do the job for work

I needed black stretchy trousers for work and these do the job. They will be good for the winter as they have a sort of soft 'wooly' feel. I agree with a previous reviewer that they will probably bobble a bit but, can't expect too much for the price. Fairly loose style, which is what I wanted. Shame they can't be tumble dried.
Overall, I'm pleased with these trousers and will get another pair.
