Practical everyday trousers

Although I am below average height I tend to buy "long" on the grounds that when trousers have been washed they frequently shrink and I hate "half-mast" trousers. However the last two pairs I purchased admittedly in a different style, have been very long and haven't shrunk in the wash, so this time I ordered "medium". A mistake; I would class these as "short" because although they just about reach my ankles now, I fear the worst when I wash them. As I use them for dog-walking this is not the end of the world, but I wish I had bought "long". A little more consistency on the part of M&S would be much appreciated. However they are a good weight and comfortable to wear.

I bought these trousers after being given the same ones in petite short for xmas which are slightly too short ( Im 5ft 1 on a good day ). These ones are better but i shall be hemming them to length . Other than that they are great for work and for lounging.

Great trousers

I ordered these trousers for an interview and didn't have time to search for a suitable pair. It arrived on time. Beautiful shape, very flattering. I ordered the long one as I'm quite tall and as it says on the page, it does make your legs look longer. Great material, very comfortable and doesn't need ironing. I recommend this item as it is now a very versatile and favoured piece in my wardrobe.
